The Commonwealth is in trouble

Every citizen of the Commonwealth that respects civil rights, gun owner or not, needs to watch and share this video. The time to act is NOW!

As the sun sets on our first year, Tombstone Trading Company stands proud, looking back at the journey that started with a simple yet bold vision: to move our established gun shop from it’s location of 23 years to a new home in Ware, Massachusetts. Here’s to marking our first anniversary with stories of growth, community, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

In 1994, Tombstone Trading Company founder David P. Bourdeau taught our first firearms safety class to help people in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts obtain their LTC or FID gun licenses. Since that time, Tombstone Trading Company has put over 10,000 students through our firearm classes with a team of NRA and Massachusetts State Police certified firearm instructors.

Overall, House Bill H.4885 is filled with measures that seem more about control than actual safety. It imposes unnecessary restrictions on responsible gun owners while doing little to address the real issues behind gun crime.

The money was raised during the month of December through a firearms raffle where the company donated over $2000 of prizes.

After 7 long months and an uncountable amount of sweat equity, we are excited to announce that we are finally moving to our new location at 126 West Main Street in Ware and will be open on December 9th, barring any unforeseen events.

Are we ever moving into our new store location on 126 West Main Street in Ware, MA?!

We are thrilled to announce that renovations are well underway at our new store location on 126 West Main Street in Ware, MA. Obtaining our building permit was a lengthy process, but we are finally making progress.

BROOKFIELD, MA – Tombstone Trading Company, Inc announces the purchase of the former Melha Shriners’ property at 126 West Main Street in Ware, MA. The property will be the future location for the retail firearm business, which has operated in Brookfield, MA since 2002. All operations will move to the new location.

Over the last 12 or so months, many of you have come into the store and wanted to know what was going on with the ‘For Sale’ sign on the property. Most were concerned we were selling the company.

State Rep Donnie Berthiaume presents a certificate recognizing Tombstone Trading Company's 20th year in business.

April marks 20 years in business for Tombstone Trading Company, Inc. of Brookfield, Massachusetts.

Tombstone Trading Company became a retail firearm sales business in April of 2002, previously having run as a firearms training business. The shop has changed quite a bit over the past 20 years, evolving from the small room above the former Richard’s Furniture business Bourdeau ran for 34 years in Brookfield, Massachusetts to occupying more than 3500 square feet and stocking a large variety of new and used firearms as well as ammunition and accessories. Their roots as a training company is also still a big part of the business, having put thousands of students through their firearm safety classes, over the years.

As anyone in the shooting sports knows, ammo supplies continue to be difficult to come by. Between the massive increase in new gun owners and the continued strain on the supply chain in the United States, ammunition has been scarce.

We have been working very difficult to obtain the ammunition our customers are looking for. This is not always easy and prices are not what they used to be, but we tend to have just about any caliber or gauge ammo you might be looking for.

Give us a call to see if we have what you are looking for.

We have heard from many of you that gun shops have been deemed essential businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks for reaching out on this, we appreciate the support!

The issue is that the DHS states in their document that individual states are free to use their list as guidance. Massachusetts has stripped the part about guns shops out of the list. We’re working with State Reps to get this issue addressed but we don’t have any news on how long that could take, if it even happens. I just checked the MA list and firearm stores on still not on it. I feel this is an even more clear indication that gun shops are classified as non-essential as Massachusetts is clearly omitting it at this point, from the federal list they based their closures on.

Now what?

At Tombstone Trading Company, we researched available options and came up with a plan on how to address this issue. We have outlined the process we are going to take on our website on our COVID-19 Sales page. If you are looking to find a reputable place to purchase a firearm during this pandemic, please consider reading that page and decide if it is the right choice for you. Tombstone Trading Company has always worked hard for our customers and hope to be able to help you, even though the ways we have to do it are unorthodox at the least.

We are offering an online meeting tonight where you can ask questions about available guns we have and even pre-order something so once we are able to open, you’ll get a priority appointment to come in and get it. You can sign up for that meeting on the COVID-19 Sales page on our website, which is linked above.

Thank you. You really are the best customers we could ask for!

We received word this morning, from a State Official that gun shops in Massachusetts are classified as “non-essential” and must close per Governor Baker’s order on shuttering businesses.

Your 2nd Amendment rights are being trampled with this shallow thinking. Protection of one’s life and liberty is indeed essential but apparenly not in the eyes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We highly encourage you to contact Governor Baker’s office and express your opinion on this matter and let him know how you feel about your rights being stripped from you.
